Dear Friends and Supporters,
As we approach the end of 2024, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly busy and rewarding year for Black Girl Drone World. I am filled with gratitude for all the milestones we’ve achieved together and the impact we’ve made in the lives of so many students. A special thank you to all the parents who entrusted us to educate their children in 2024.
This year, we had the immense privilege of connecting with countless young girls, inspiring them to explore the world of drones and STEM. Our partnerships with the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, Commercial UAV News and Women in Aviation International have been instrumental in expanding our reach, and I am truly thankful for the collaborative efforts that have taken place.
I’m excited to share that we launched our new nonprofit, Drone World Foundation, which aims to broaden our impact and reach even more girls in elementary and high school. Our ongoing giving campaign, Drones for Tomorrow, continues to thrive through December 31st, and there’s still time to contribute. A heartfelt thank you to all our donors who are helping us get one step closer to providing a drone for every student in the classroom. I also want to extend my appreciation to the elementary schools that have committed to incorporating STEM drone education into their programs.
This year also saw the launch of our new Advisory Board, which has infused fresh energy and perspectives into our mission. I extend my deepest thanks to each member for their commitment to lend their time and talents to our cause.
Looking ahead, the future remains bright, and our commitment to empowering young girls through drone education is unwavering as we navigate into 2025. We are excited to introduce new initiatives, including an afterschool program and teacher training program, designed to deepen our impact.
As you unwind during the holiday season, please know that your support and dedication have made a significant difference. Thank you for being our greatest champions; your belief in our mission means the world to me.
Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year. Cheers to an exciting 2025!
Warm regards,
