As a teaching assistant for the Part 107 course, I thought the FAA exam was a daunting challenge. But as I delved into the curriculum, I realized it was more manageable than I thought. And that’s when the idea of Black Girl Drone World was born. Despite understanding the material well, I found myself hesitating to take the test. Fear and excuses crept in – it’s a federal certification, it’s too hard, I’m not good at exams. The negative voices in my head whispered, “You can’t do this.”

But with the right support and determination, my confidence soared. I found a flexible class, tailored to my busy schedule, and made the decision – I’m taking the FAA exam. Nervous yet determined, I booked my test date, reviewed my notes in the car, and walked into the testing center.

As I completed the exam and awaited the results, my stomach churned. The moment of truth arrived – the examiner congratulated me, “Great job! You passed with a 90.” The relief and pride I felt were indescribable. My journey from doubt to success proves that with effort and belief in yourself, anything is possible.

Let my story inspire you to conquer your fears and doubts. Don’t wait, take the leap and achieve your goals. I did it, and so can you!
