Janet Bragg, Born March 24, 1907, Janet dreamt abo Janet Bragg,
Born March 24, 1907, Janet dreamt about becoming a pilot since a young age but faced many obstacles when trying to achieve this goal.

Janet was first pursuing a nursing degree at Spelman before she enrolled into Aeronautical University in Chicago, it wasn’t a shock when Janet was the only woman in her flight classes but it did become an issue. The men thought that she didn’t deserve to be there, but she proved them wrong through her actions.

Janet passed the Pilot’s test in Tuskegee but was denied her license due to her gender. Determined to fly Janet went back to Chicago, took the test, passed again and finally got her license. This made Janet Bragg the first black woman to ever get a commercial pilot’s license.

🌟 Story Time: A Beautiful Moment of Confirmation 🌟 🌟 Story Time: A Beautiful Moment of Confirmation 🌟

Today, my daughter came home from school buzzing with excitement. They had a special guest speaker for Black History Month who focused on empowering girls and celebrating their natural hair. The speaker brought along a PowerPoint presentation filled with inspiring images and organizations dedicated to supporting Black girls.

As my daughter listened intently, she suddenly spotted something incredible on the screen—a picture of me! She said she did a double-take, even taking off her glasses to clean them and putting them back on just to confirm what she saw. Her classmates chimed in too, pointing and saying, “Hey, isn’t that your mom?”

In that moment, my heart melted. I couldn’t believe it! Here I was, just doing my thing as an entrepreneur, and my work was being recognized in front of my daughter and her peers. Sometimes, it can be tough being an entrepreneur—some days are filled with triumph, while others are slow and uncertain. But this experience reminded me how important it is to keep going.

Knowing that my daughter could proudly say, “That’s my mom’s work” in class filled me with a sense of pride and motivation I didn’t realize I needed. It was a beautiful confirmation that all the hard work is worth it.

So, let me share this message with anyone out there striving for their dreams: whatever it is you aspire to, don’t lose hope. The journey might be tough, and you may face obstacles along the way, but every struggle is a step closer to your goals. Remember to cheer for yourself and those around you. Together, we can uplift and empower one another. 💖

Let’s celebrate Black excellence everywhere—draw on your strength, love your roots, and never give up on your dreams! #BlackHistoryMonth #Empowerment #BlackGirlDroneWorld #NaturalHairLove ✊🏾✨
